QUOTE OF THE DAY

This priceless line of BS came from the Democratic nominee Barack Obama:
"We are the party of Roosevelt. We are the party of Kennedy. So don't tell me that Democrats won't defend this country. Don't tell me that Democrats won't keep us safe."
This is the equivalent of a modern day Frenchman pushing this line:
"I am a warrior...just like Napolean was."
The very notion that a modern liberal democrat can be as focused and as preemptive on today's national security is laughable at best. Since Obama loves comparisons so much, lets do a few.
1. FDR waged war against Japan and Germany (who posed no direct threat to us by the way...it was just the right thing to do...imagine that). Would today's liberal jump into the fray like that? Remember these are the same liberals that sit back and allowed hundred of thousands of Rwandans to get massacred, simply because the UN wouldn't help.
2. Jack Kennedy, while young, was tenacious when it came to national security. He understood what needed to be done to combat and defeat Soviet Communism. Do you think Jimmy Carter or Barack Obama would have the testicular fortitude to blockade Cuba and dare Krushchev to do something? Go back read some of Kennedy's speeches. "Hawkish" isn't the word. It's enough to make today's liberal, "peace at any price" democrat crawl into a corner, suck their thumb, and probably relieve themselves multiple times.
To sum up: Today's Liberal is more interested in everyone liking us moreso than actually protecting us.

"Think about the amount of money that China has spent on infrastructure. Their ports, their train systems, their airports are all vastly superior to us now, which means if you're a corporation deciding where to do business, you're starting to think, Beijing looks like a pretty good option.” - Barack Obama
Yeah, and guess what else. Mussolini also made the trains run on time in Italy. Too bad, he also ran a fascist government.

“Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses? Does a guy who worries about the price of arugula and thinks regular people cling to guns and religion in the face of economic hardship really want to have a debate about who’s in touch with regular Americans?”
This is going to be one hell of a presidential race. ![]()
