QUOTE OF THE DAY

Let's pretend for a moment that a prominent Republican in the House of Representatives had said the following:
"If Barack Obama isn't enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with John McCain, then you damn well had better pay attention. Anybody that wallows in the filth of Chicago politics for a living and gets in the political sack with known terrorists don't care too much about what they do with white Americans."
What do you think would happen to said Republican? Do you think there would be a media blitz lined with hellfire for the next few weeks? Do you think that Republican would be vilified with no hope of redemption? I certainly think that would happen.
However, what do you think the response is going to be after a prominent, black Democrat in the House of Representatives said the following today?:
"If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention. Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks."
This quote can be attributed to Alcee Hastings (D-FL). Rep. Hastings was once a federal judge...until he was impeached. Now he is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.
I do love the smell of 'race-baiting' in the morning...
